On January 26, 1972, Vesna Vulovi worked on JAT Flight 367 when the aircraft disintegrated. She is the only person to survive the disaster. Guinness World Records credits him with a 10,160-meter drop without a parachute.

The essential detail is that it is in a part of the wreckage: it is not a person jumping freely from a plane and receiving standing. Found seriously injured, she goes through a long recovery. Guinness’s account notably describes several fractures and a temporary paralysis.

The number has sparked competing stories. Guinness says it maintains its record based on the official report and the data reviewed. It must therefore be attributed to this file, without transforming the circumstances into a recipe for survival. Behind an almost unimaginable number, the real story remains that of a survivor and the long after of the accident.
